After spending a few more days there, it wasn't long until Kenta had another battle with Hikaru, and this time, he actually ended up winning the battle. To say I was not surprised would be a lie. He had finally developed his own special move, and it was amazing to see his improvement in such a short time.
All this time, I had been observing his growth, and it occurred to me that I wasn't making much progress in improving myself. I couldn't forget about the challenges that lay ahead in the future. I couldn't afford to waste my time. That mysterious Doji, who I suspected was already observing Gengka like a pervert, was dangerous. If he came after me at this rate, I wouldn't be able to defend myself. I didn't want to be just a side character who basked in the glory of others with no importance of my own.
In this world, there were no cheat codes or hidden items. Even if they existed, I had no clue about them, and I didn't plan on embarking on a wild goose chase to find them, considering my limited time. The only thing I could consider my "cheat" was my knowledge of different anime. While I might not know much about the Three Metal series, I had watched numerous anime series, including different Beyblade series like Burst, Turbo, and others. If you knew anything about those Beyblade series, it was how to create a formidable Bey. In contrast, my Bey could only be consistently a prototype, and it seemed I wouldn't be able to create a truly powerful one for at least a year and a half. So, it made sense for me to go on another journey until the tournament started. After all, I had nothing to do here, and the main cast could handle things with their cheesy power of friendship. I didn't believe in that kind of thing at all.
To me, Bladers were like batteries, and a Bey could be considered a phone; it needed a Blader to function. These people relied on their friendship, which I found to be of little value. I intended to walk my own path, and only Ryuga was worthy of my respect because he used his own power and pride, not friendship. I couldn't understand what had even happened in the last Metal Fusion, with the so-called legendary Bladers being defeated so easily, and then Gingka, with what seemed like pure luck, defeating Nemesis. The other Bladers had been useless then even sukura, to put it mildly.
As I contemplated my future, I mumbled to myself, "Fine, I don't care anymore. We'll see what happens when we get there." With that, I began another journey.
As I was lost in thought, I almost forgot that I still needed to register for the Beyblade tournament. I went in the morning to register for the upcoming tournament. Afterward, I went to a café to have a hearty breakfast, packed the necessities, and left Kenta's town as I wondered what my Bey could offer on this soon-to-be broken table, giving me an advantage in perfecting my Bey, Fenrir.
My Bey is a left-spin Bey, which wasn't great for spin-stealing but had a regular performance. What set it apart were the little shock absorbers. I believed they could be used to create a special move, perhaps deflecting shock through the rubber tip and transferring the force through the ground, like creating an earthquake. However, I needed something more powerful, as an earthquake didn't align with my elemental style. Therefore, I decided to travel to regions that could support my growth, starting with a hot region with a volcano. Being near a volcanic eruption would be the ideal place for me to train.
I spent a considerable amount of time training, practicing target skills, and closely observing volcanic eruptions. I dedicated myself to these tasks and ensured that Fenrir was well-maintained.
During my hardcore training, I received a notification from the WBBA that they were organizing a Beyblade Survival Battle event, and the winner would be granted a single wish. I couldn't help but react with a deadpan expression, thinking, "Am I in a Dragon Ball scenario now?" Nevertheless, it piqued my interest, and I decided to join the event to see how things would unfold.
After some time, the planes were ready to take off, and it turned out that a thousand Bladers had joined the event. I even spotted some of the main cast. As I boarded the plane, I half-listened to instructions about solo and team battles, but ultimately, I was here to grow stronger, and I didn't see the point in following the crowd.
Once I landed on Beyblade Island, I dropped my bag and was immediately surrounded by other Bladers who attempted to confront me. Without hesitation, I leaped into the air and launched my Bey, Fenrir. It tore through the crowd like a wild storm, sending the other Bladers flying with just a few strikes.
Recalling my Bey, I left that place, thinking to myself, "Let's see what this battle royale has in store for me."
