Elara nodded. "We had a conflict, and the poison that was supposed to be contained in the canteen ended up spreading throughout the whole facility…"

Hana questioned, "So, you didn't poison their food?"

Elara replied. "Why would I do that when I already had a special gas for that purpose? 

"It would give them a painless death after they had their last meal…"

Gon swallowed hard. "Their last meal…"

Still trying to piece together the events, Hana asked, "You said it spread throughout the facility. Then how did you survive?"

Elara explained, "Of course, there were some exceptions, like the room we were in when it happened."

Hana, remember other things than asking, "Did you also experiment on animals?"

Elara responded, "Of course. Even though we had humans, we always made sure to test everything on animals first."
