The man stood behind her, his breath brushing past her ears.

Upon learning that Mason King would not leave immediately, for some inexplicable reason, Suzanne Trent's unsettled emotions, brought on by the dead cat, instantly relaxed.

While doing Abigail Trent's hair, she nodded: "Anyway, this is all yours. I haven't touched anything in the study, so feel free to use it."

Lily had already fallen asleep.

Mason King had been in the study for over an hour.

Suzanne thought of the tea she had brought from home. It was Starbuck Coffee, which Mason King had once seen at her house. She decided to get up and boil water for tea, and then knocked on the door of the study and entered with the teacup.

"Haven't you finished yet? Will it be late?"

"Several new projects from the overseas division are about to be launched. The materials have been handed over to me for immediate review and approval."
