She didn't look towards where the men were; instead, she squeezed into the elevator with the two nurses who were pushing an old patient on a bed. Ignoring the curious gazes of the two nurses, she stood in the elevator with her head down. Seeing the nurses press the button to go upstairs, intending to send the old man to a ward on the upper floors, she suddenly reached out and pressed the buttons for the tenth and twelfth floors.
The elevator paused briefly on both floors before heading directly to the floor where the old man's ward was located.
Once she reached this floor, Suzanne headed straight for the staircase. However, as she was about to run down to the first floor, she noticed that her coat, which she had left hidden behind a trash bin on the eighth floor, was gone.
Suzanne stopped momentarily while detecting the sound of hurried footsteps coming from below, perhaps the sixth or seventh floor.
