"Beauty is real, but a hero, not so much," Lin Man glanced at him and chuckled.
Watching her warm smile return, Lu Chengfeng stroked her cheek, wishing that time could stop right then.
"Gurgle gurgle."
Lin Man's stomach grumbled twice. She hadn't eaten lunch and had been upset for a while.
Lu Chengfeng laughed and took her hand to go outside. At the door, Lu's mother saw their clasped hands and couldn't help but smile.
Lin Man, embarrassed, tried to pull her hand away, but Lu Chengfeng held it tighter.
Chi Xiaowan's expression turned ugly as she gritted her teeth at Lin Man.
Lin Man's gaze didn't falter; she faced her head-on.
She knew Chi Xiaowan liked Lu Chengfeng otherwise she wouldn't have deliberately taken those misguiding photos and sent her such messages.
But, she wouldn't back down.
Lu Chengfeng glanced at Chi Xiaowan, his brow slightly furrowed.
