Chapter 1299: Always Subconsciously Protecting the Belly

The heavy bedroom door was pushed open from the outside.

Aidan Lucas heard the sound and suddenly awoke.

"Ah—" When Lily pushed the door open, the room was pitch black.

She had thought that Aidan hadn't come back.

But when she turned on the light, she bumped right into a pair of cold and chilling eyes.

"You, why aren't you turning on the lights in the bedroom, you scared me..." Lily involuntarily stepped back, leaning against the wall, her right hand subconsciously caressing her abdomen.

Aidan Lucas's sharp, icy eyes glanced slightly, squinting and rubbing his brow, "Sorry, I scared you. I was asleep just now..."

"It's only just gotten dark not long ago…" Lily muttered, looking at him.

Seeing Aidan's black hair in disarray and showing signs of exhaustion, she instantly forgot the panic she had felt earlier.

She moved closer, sat on the edge of the bed, and reached out to touch his forehead, "What's wrong, are you feeling uncomfortable?"
