Chapter 194: It's All Your Fault

Keira Leaf kept her head down, unable to boldly carry out her initial plan after such a disruption. Instead, she felt uncharacteristically restrained and uneasy in her overly revealing outfit.

Joshua Sulliven glanced at her, but didn't ask anything more. He stood up and half squatted before the sofa, took hold of her dainty foot and examined her ankle.

A tiny cut, about a centimeter long, marked her pristine ankle. The blood that had once flowed from it had since scabbed over, dark and red.

Joshua Sulliven's brows furrowed slightly as he took out an alcohol-soaked cotton ball and gently wiped at the wound.

Perhaps it was the contact, the removal of the scab incited a sting, and Keira recoiled instinctively.

"Don't move." Joshua's grip tightened around her foot, preventing her from pulling away.
