Chapter 822: Life is short, and we should enjoy it while we can.

Joshua's pace slowed more and more as he ate, and listening to Keira babble beside him, he suddenly missed the woman who used to ignore him completely.

After barely finishing half a bowl, Joshua set down his bowl and chopsticks and squinted at Keira, "I'm so full, I'll finally have the energy to fuss with you this afternoon..."

The smile on Keira's face froze; she stood up immediately and ran toward the sofa, a hint of panic in her eyes.

A touch of indulgence flickered in Joshua's eyes, and a rare smile appeared on his usually cloudy face. Hearing the unceasing firecrackers outside, he felt this year might actually be a good one.

Keira sat on the sofa, laughing and crying as she watched TV, as if her illness had healed overnight.

Joshua sat with her for a while, then around two o'clock, he directly picked her up from the sofa.

"Come with me to the kitchen to get some stuff. We'll make dumplings together in a while."
