The next day, early in the morning, as the sky was just getting light, Joshua Sulliven awoke.
He turned his head and looked at the woman sleeping peacefully beside him, feeling a trace of satisfaction, he gently kissed her forehead, and then got up before her.
Wishing not to disrupt the children's routines, Joshua Sulliven decided to open the door and promptly rouse Tristan Leaf and Classmate Howard, after all, though he might indulge Keira Leaf, he had no intention of spoiling these two little potatoes.
He walked quietly to the bedside and saw Tristan Leaf frowning tightly, seemingly not sleeping well, while Classmate Howard beside him was sleeping like a little pig, very sweetly.
Looking further, Howard's leg was pressing on Tristan, with his body at a forty-five-degree tilt; no wonder Tristan was uncomfortable, his eyebrows tightly knitted.
"Time to wake up," Joshua Sulliven softly patted Tristan's small face and said in a deep voice.
