Joshua Sulliven glanced at her, asked no further, and stood up to pour a cup of water, gently placing it on the small table.

Jackson Sully's chewing paused momentarily, and he looked up just in time to catch sight of Joshua Sulliven's big hand.

Long and smooth, his fingers looked refined and gentle as jade, holding the transparent glass cup, appearing especially attractive.

As Jackson stared at his hand, he couldn't help but become lost in thought, reminded of someone else's hands, which were even more slender than Joshua's and similarly well-maintained, without the slightest callous.

Those hands had once gently caressed his hair and tenderly wiped away his tears. They had held him close, and even more, they had caressed his body over and over again.
