Approaching the Goddess while frowning in frustration, the War God grumbled, "What are the odds of it being checked out, around the same time when we need it…?"
Considering the number of individuals who have access to the Forbidden Archives could be counted with only a fraction of her digits, the Goddess wouldn't consider those odds very high at all. And yet, here they were in this dilemma.
"Someone was one step ahead of us," the Goddess replied, contemplating the circumstances. "But the librarian would've commented if someone else had requested access to these Archives before us recently…"
"...Which meant that whomever took the book, likely didn't do it through any official capacity," Axel responded dryly. "Great…"
The Goddess glanced around the quiet room. First noting the large windows that lined an entire side of the wall. Then noting the only entrance that led into the room, was the one they had taken.
