Tuzi the Moon Goddess

Though her heart was beating rapidly against her chest, the rabbit shifter tried to remain calm. Every fiber of her being screamed to flee, but she forced herself still. The weight of countless eyes, both human and beasts, burning into her skin.

Tuzi knew that she must place her trust in the Goddess's judgment. The deity would not leave her in the hands of strangers, who would harm her. She must believe this to be true.

Carefully, she decided to give herself a moment to think, by taking one step backwards into the tent. And then another step. And another.

By the time a full minute had passed, even though it felt like an hour, Tuzi found herself fully back inside the yurt. Her body automatically sought out warmth from the stove burning near the center. She crouched down huddling herself against the blankets, frantically trying to think of what to do.
