His Fated Mate

Feeling wary about the circumstances, Tuzi could only concede that the two werebears were likely not able to do anyone harm. The inn was surrounded by shifter beasts of every variety. If they step out of line, it would not bode well for the two drunken werebears.

Apologizing to Golun for the mess she created, the rabbit shifter quickly helped him gather up the scattered packages. 

The werewolf patted her gently on the head. "Do not worry. I am here. I will not let them hurt you."

Tuzi could only muster a half-hearted smile in his direction. "Thank you, Golun…"

Later that night even as Tuzi laid in bed, she had a hard time falling asleep, knowing that there were two werebears just down the stairs. The anxiety she was experiencing kept her awake and alert, as if she couldn't trust the circumstances and put her mind at ease, no matter how hard she tried.
