Divine Intervention

Finally, Taiga thought warily. He was asleep.

And within this dream scape, as expected, he was greeted by a face that he had come to see as family now.

"How are you doing, kid?" Axel asked somberly, while he looked upon his pupil's face with amplifying concern.

Worry gnawed at the War God, who had restlessly kept the child under his scrutiny for the past several weeks. Though Axel had tried to hail him into the dream scape to check upon the kid's well-being, he was ultimately unable to. 

Taiga had not been sleeping well at all. 

Not since "that day" at least.

Because he is the God of War, one major aspect of his skillset pertains to his ability to know when a major shift in power has occurred in the Mortal Realm. It was a "power" that was a piece of his domain.
