A Duel in the Desert

The smirk that dawned his lips alluded to a sinister essence that ended any comparison to Kai's sibling.

For the God of Sky would never look upon anyone with such malevolence. 

The Sea God's orbs turned to chilled shards. "You have no idea of what I am capable of. I'm pretty tired of your games. If you tell me who you are and why you have been wasting my time, I may drag your ass back to the Senior Council and spare you an immediate death!"

"Oh my!" he drawled mockingly. "While I do appreciate your selective form of mercy, I think I will pass on your generosity. Shall we duel…?"

There was something in the way that he'd phrase that– It sent a chill that grazed up his spine. Beyond the man's physical resemblance to Sky, there was something else there that felt familiar. 

Yet the Sea God could not pinpoint what exactly it was.
