The cage, complete with wheels, was pushed across the deck and slid towards Charles Harrington.
He stepped on the wheel and pressed the watch on his wrist, emitting an X-Ray beam. The light swept over the mouse, showing it was not carrying any dangerous items, like explosives.
Only then did Charles Harrington pull a necklace from inside his clothing. The pendant was shaped like a small pen container. He unscrewed the lid to reveal the antidote within.
"Here, the dose is only enough for three people."
One portion for the little white mouse, one for Wayne Bailey, one for Wilfred…
The little white mouse didn't need a full human dose, but what was left was nonetheless wasted.
"Whether or not you can get it from me, that's up to you," Charles laughed. "Don't think that assassinating me and taking away the antidote will work. This bottle is fitted with a detector. It will shatter once it leaves my body, and all the medicine will be lost."
