Chapter 361: The Last Warning

James Black's words left Julie Sampton stammering for half a day without being able to utter a single sentence.

In the evening, when she was at the cinema, she unintentionally saw Jane Sampson watching a movie with a man, their hands intertwined, looking very intimate.

Thinking of James Black, who rarely came home from the guard team, Julie's first thought was that Jane must be unable to bear the loneliness. Taking advantage of James's absence, she must have sought out other men.

Moreover, in Julie's view, a man who hardly ever comes home to his wife is unlikely to have a good relationship with her. Therefore, it's possible that the marriage between Jane and James might have already been over in everything but name. Perhaps they hadn't divorced yet, mostly because of concern for both families and because of James Black's status as a defender.
