From the moment Jane felt hunger, she kept her small knife busy, picking and eating wild fruits along the way under John River's guidance.

Her pockets were stuffed full of various fruits, which she would hurriedly wash at any clean water source they came across before tucking them away again.

She did this because she feared reaching areas without any wild fruits and having to endure hunger.

Upon hearing John River mention the red berries hanging from clusters of roadside bushes, Jane bent down to pick a few. Just as she was about to lean in closer to pick more, sudden footsteps came from behind the bushes.
