After Linda Grismer left the Thompson family with the child, Mrs. Bates finally turned her attention to Reginald Bates and Eve Thompson.
Her gaze landed on Eve, and she sighed, "Iris, I'm sorry, I wronged you today."
Being polite to those people after mistaking them as being involved with Reginald, it was enough to show that Iris Thompson was a kind person.
But such a kind-hearted person tends to be easily taken advantage of!
Mrs. Bates looked at Iris again, noticing her reddened eyes and an expression of being wronged, and thinking about her own scolding earlier, her heart softened, feeling increasingly guilty.
This child was just too honest.
She had scolded her for so long, yet she didn't know to defend herself even once; if it weren't for the video, she probably wouldn't have been able to clear her name today.
Such a foolish child.
Thinking this way, Mrs. Bates began to view Iris more favorably.
The slight dissatisfaction she had felt towards her was slowly fading.
