On Friday, Purple Summers arrived in Clearwater City by plane.
Without going home, she went straight to the detention center to meet with Allen Rivera, and then they went to see Jane McCain together.
Having been detained for several days, Jane was extremely listless, barely managing to squeeze out a smile when she saw Purple.
"I know what you want to ask," Jane said with a bitter smile, "I swear, I really tried... tried so hard to remember, but I just can't recall who told me that story—I... I completely don't remember."
"Don't rush, we'll take it slow," Purple comforted her.
Jane looked as if she was on the verge of tears, "How can I not be anxious? The court hearing date is about to be set."
Yet Purple smiled slightly, "Hey, standing before you right now is Clearwater City's most formidable prosecutor, and the most formidable lawyer. What is there to be scared of? Rest assured, we'll secure your acquittal."
