In the following days, the air in Versailles had suddenly tensed. Not only had the number of Fire Shadow Knights doubled, but the frequency of Guard Cavalry patrols had noticeably increased. Officials from the Internal Affairs Department also began arriving in Versailles, going from one guest to the next to conduct inquiries. Although it bore a hint of routine, how could any guest in Versailles not possess some measure of status and position? How could ordinary officials from the Internal Affairs freely interrogate them?
