Many previously vague concepts had been clarified, and numerous formerly intractable problems were smoothly resolved before him. For Komer, this experience was like that of a traveler groping his way through a path bristling with countless traps, who suddenly finds himself on a bright and even highway. All potential pitfalls had been marked, eliminating the fear of falling into peril from which he couldn't extricate himself. This feeling of having both a teacher and a friend was beyond the mere pleasure and exhilaration that could be conveyed in a few short words.
