Rebry couldn't explain the origins of the castle either; in his view, the so-called lord of the castle was probably just a pretender. There must have been others lurking behind this lord, as the magic array was hidden very secretly, using the obelisk as a guiding object. Moreover, the textual symbols were all in ancient script, unnoticeable to ordinary people. Even if spotted, they wouldn't understand them. If it hadn't been for his prior mental preparation, he would have been unable to uncover the secrets of this magic array.

However, it was clear that the magic array needed a magical artifact to trigger and operate it, which might also be time-limited.
