Volume 9: Phantom of the Ancient Castle, Chapter 1: Singular Strike on the Flying Dragon

Just as everyone marveled at the meticulously detailed and lifelike giant stone engraving paintings, there seemed to be a continuous series of fine creaking sounds coming from the depths of the passage. At first, they did not attract much attention, but as the creaking grew more frequent and louder, the mage knights who had already turned their gaze away from the surrounding stone wall paintings realized that, at some point, the space had once again become shrouded with a thick presence of death.

Only when a dense mass of skeleton group emerged in a steady cadence from the dark depths of the passage did everyone realize that these skeletons each held, without exception, a rusty iron sword and a patchy old shield—they were obviously souls from the ancient battlefield, and the pale bones proved their history was not short.
