Chapter 31 : A Mate's Duty

*Cole’s POV*

The Bolstrode territory wasn’t in another state, but it might as well have been with how hard it was to enter and exit the city now. It was still surprising how few noticed the signs of a lockdown, but I suppose that humans just weren’t all that observant and a guy in a uniform was more of a deterrent than anything.

As it was, a few hours drive became a few days of effort to get back, especially with how I had to avoid all the patrols the Silvius pack was doing. They were not happy with the current events and seeing as I was the one who caused them, they’d be all the more eager to take things out on me if I got caught.

I stared up at the pack house. What was once a comforting sight now filled me with dread.

The Bolstrode pack house was welcoming before everything changed, before it all went to shit.
