Chapter 46 : Alpha

*Lila’s POV*

There wasn’t much you could do tied to a chair in a room with no company but think.

I didn’t really want to think at the moment. Everything was very depressing and about to get even worse but again, tied to a chair all alone, there wasn’t much else to do but lament about the current situation.

Zara wouldn’t stop unless she was dead. She couldn’t be convinced or argued with, and now, I doubted even negotiations would fall through because in her mind, she was uncompromising on what she should get out of this.

A part of me was hopeful, but I suppose that hope only existed because I had never met her until now. I had never seen what she was like, who she was, but that impromptu interview had been…enlightening.

I wasn’t sure if she knew I was interviewing her or if she thought I deserved to know what was going on, but it was a lot.
