Chapter 255 : Aizen vs Yhwach!!

Karakura Town.

Inside an abandoned building, the headquarters of the Fullbringer group known as Xcution, Aizen entered a small bar area, where Giriko Kutsuzawa stood behind the counter dressed like a bartender.

Aizen took a seat, and Giriko prepared a cocktail for him, sliding it across the bar with a polite smile.

"Not bad, it's quite good," Aizen remarked after taking a sip, his demeanor calm and composed. The others from Xcution were scattered around the room, each occupied with their own activities—reading, playing games, drinking, or simply dozing off.

In Hueco Mundo's Las Noches, a blue spiritual portal appeared. From it stepped a man with an imposing presence, his face devoid of emotion but radiating authority. This was Yhwach, the father of Quincy.

He closed his eyes briefly before striding down a corridor, his heavy footfalls echoing off the stone walls. Before long, he reached a massive door, which he pushed open without hesitation.

Inside was a dark, cavernous hall, at the far end of which stood a glowing blue orb encased in a glass cabinet. Tōsen Kaname was there, standing guard, but Yhwach paid him no attention. His focus was solely on the orb.

"This is the Hōgyoku that Aizen created with such effort?" Yhwach muttered to himself, his gaze fixed on the glowing sphere. "It doesn't seem all that special. I expected more, considering Quincy could create the Medallion to steal Bankai. I'm somewhat disappointed."

Back at Xcution's bar, Aizen took another sip of his cocktail, his lips curling into a faint smile as he glanced at Giriko. "Did you do this on purpose?" he asked with a hint of amusement.

Giriko's expression remained indifferent as he responded, "What do you mean?"

Aizen's smile grew slightly. "I wanted to see if I could draw you out. It seems I was successful."

At that moment, Giriko's demeanor shifted. A new voice emerged from his mouth—the voice of Yhwach. "It seems you've discovered that I took control of Giriko," the voice said.

"Last time, when you used your skills, I left a trace of my spiritual essence on Giriko. I wanted to see if I could turn him against you, Aizen."

When Yhwach found out that Aizen had left Las Noches, he immediately made his move to claim the Hōgyoku. He knew he couldn't face Ichibei and Yamamoto in his current state without it. However, his plan seemed to have been anticipated by Aizen, and today's events were likely orchestrated by him.

"Isn't it a bit careless to show up here like this?" Yhwach commented, eyeing the seemingly unguarded Hōgyoku. "Leaving only a blind man to guard it—isn't that underestimating me?"

"In just one second, I could grab the Hōgyoku and be gone."

But as he spoke, Giriko Kutsuzawa noticed that Aizen, who was standing before him, started to dissolve, turning into a Zanpakutō and then dissipating into thin air.

"Yhwach, your omniscience and omnipotence seem a bit overstated."

Yhwach growled, his face darkening.

Tōsen's form rippled like a stone skipping across a calm pond, and when the ripples settled, Aizen stood there, sword resting on his shoulder, a sly smile on his lips. The eerie moonlight cast long shadows across the hall, adding to the tension.

Yhwach clenched his fists in frustration. It was pointless to dwell on how Aizen had pulled off this trick. It was clear that only one of them would leave this hall alive.

Yhwach pointedly remarked, "Isn't it a bit much to send all the Espadas to the human world? Especially Ulquiorra in his second resurrección. Even I was surprised by that move."

Aizen simply chuckled, his voice dripping with smugness. "Don't worry about it. They have other roles to play, nothing to do with you."

Yhwach's eyes narrowed in suspicion. He didn't like Aizen's arrogance. "You're quite full of yourself, Aizen. Not even Yamamoto Genryūsai was this confident," he replied, his voice low and threatening.

The tension in the room grew thicker as the two powerful forces squared off, each plotting their next move in a deadly game of chess.

Aizen stepped forward into the moonlight, his silhouette resembling a figure draped in silver.

"Arrogant, huh?"

He chuckled softly, his voice dripping with confidence. "If I can't even resolve this, the future I envision about other worlds would never happen."

"And you, Yhwach, a relic from a thousand years past, will be my first stepping stone on my journey to conquer all worlds."

As he spoke, Aizen slowly drew his Zanpakutō, his smirk growing bolder.

"Since you won't attack first, let me begin."

"Consider it an honor," he continued. "You will be the first to witness my Bankai."

"Bankai, Suigetsu Kyōka."

The moment these words left his lips, Yhwach's expression shifted dramatically. Though Aizen's Bankai seemed merely a reversal of name his Shikai, "Kyōka Suigetsu," Yhwach's instincts went into overdrive, warning him of impending danger.

In an instant, Aizen and his Zanpakutō dissolved into a white mist, merging seamlessly with the moonlit surroundings. The entire hall seemed to vanish, replaced by a vast expanse of white fog, with only the distant moonlight breaking the endless whiteness.

"Almighty!"

Yhwach reacted immediately, summoning his powers without hesitation. A series of colossal blue bows materialized around him, each centered on him as he focused his energy. These bows emitted a barrage of fearsome blue arrows, a volley that could obliterate any ordinary Shinigami.

Without delay, the arrows launched into the surrounding mist, exploding in all directions as they penetrated the dense fog. The once silent night was now filled with the sound of cracking energy and dispersing mist.

There were no sounds of explosions or collisions, just silence.

It felt as if the grand hall had vanished, and in its place was a completely different space.

Yhwach, unfazed, considered his next move. He took to the air, flying toward the moon that hung overhead.

But no matter how much he moved, the distance between him and the moon stayed the same.

It didn't matter which direction he traveled; the moon was always directly above him.

"Am I being hypnotized?" Yhwach wondered, pausing to contemplate.

But his instincts told him he wasn't. Despite his holy letter "A," representing omnipotence and omniscience, which might seem overblown, it was undeniably among the most powerful abilities in the world.

Yhwach opened his eyes, and then he opened them again, revealing more and more eyes across his body.

Under the scrutiny of these many eyes, the thick white mist began to swirl and slowly thin out.

At that moment, Aizen's voice came from every direction.

"Suigetsu Kyōka, Water Moon – Mirror Flower."

In an instant, the fog vanished.

Under the blinding sun, Yhwach saw the figure standing before him, and he couldn't help but tremble.

PS: 1. If you're confused, it might be because you haven't read the previous chapters. But don't worry, just know that Aizen has grown stronger.

As mentioned before, Yhwach's claim of omnipotence is misleading. Even during the Thousand-Year Blood War, the sealed Aizen could interfere with Yhwach, turning the final battle into a critical point, causing Yhwach to ultimately lose.
