Chapter 261 : Time Variance Authority (TVA)!!

Odin's explanation was calm, but with a note of urgency as he addressed his two puzzled sons.

"It's quite straightforward," Odin said. "An organization with the ability to create a stable portal in space with such precision and speed would never be unknown. In all my 9,000 years of life, I've travelled to Xandar, visited the Void, and seen nearly every developed civilization."

"But I've never seen a portal like this before," Odin continued, his brow furrowing. "Not even heard of anything like it."

Loki's eyes widened as he considered the implications. "It's like... they're hiding from reality," he said, astonished by his own words.

Meanwhile, across the universe, the Celestial known as Ego was lost in thought. Despite his vast experience spanning millennia, even he could not recall any organization capable of this feat.

On Earth, the expression on the face of the Ancient One, the Sorcerer Supreme, was grim. As the keeper of Kamar-Taj's ancient library, she had access to countless arcane secrets.

Yet, she had never encountered an organization like this one before. If it hadn't been for the video, she might have gone through her entire existence without ever knowing of its existence. It was a chilling realization.

Doctor Strange, who had been quietly observing, ventured a suggestion, albeit with caution. "I think that Vishanti might know. Maybe you could ask them."

As a future Sorcerer Supreme, Strange might one day have the authority to consult the Vishanti, but for now, it was beyond his reach.

The Ancient One shook her head and shot Strange a look that spoke volumes. "Why ask them when you can simply watch?" she seemed to say.

Realizing his mistake, Strange nodded, feeling a bit foolish. Instead, he silently thanked the mysterious and powerful force guiding the video and returned his focus to the screen.

The scene continued to unfold.

[Loki, who was usually quick to assess any situation, was at a loss. These people with their strange technology seemed beyond his comprehension.

Yet, as he was about to make his move, another portal opened. A slightly overweight Black woman stepped through, her demeanor just as dismissive as Loki's.

She held a small device in her hand, no larger than a palm, and looked at it briefly before announcing:

"Looks like we have a standard temporal violation."]

[The speed at which the Time Molecule evolved was consistent. The woman looked at Loki with a stern expression, her voice carrying the weight of judgment.

"Time crime detected," she said firmly. "On behalf of the Time Variance Authority, I arrest you for violating the sacred timeline."]

"Time Variance Authority?" Loki was incredulous. "I've never heard of it!"

The audience across the Marvel Universe was equally stunned. Cosmic empires, interstellar organizations, and even some of the mightiest beings were unnerved by what they were seeing.

If the woman in the video was telling the truth, this organization was unlike anything anyone had encountered. The mere mention of "time" suggested a level of mystery and power beyond comprehension.

In earlier instances, beings like Thanos had been defeated through manipulation of time. Now, the fact that no one had heard of the Time Variance Authority suggested that this organization operated on an entirely different level.

If they could silently capture any offender, it implied they were both extremely powerful and dangerously secretive.

["Raise your hands and come with us," the woman commanded. She didn't even seem to regard Loki as a threat.

Loki, who was already seething from his recent defeat in the Battle of New York, moved toward her aggressively.

However, in the blink of an eye, he was struck by something unknown, leaving him disoriented and frozen in mid-motion.

From a different angle, it was clear the woman had hit Loki with something akin to a baton. His body seemed to move in slow motion, each ripple from the impact spreading across his face as his expression contorted with pain.

Despite Loki's sluggish movements, the black-clad soldiers surrounding him remained unaffected.

The woman casually produced a collar and snapped it onto Loki's neck, explaining in a matter-of-fact tone, "You're currently experiencing a 1/16 time flow rate, but the pain is as intense as ever. Consider this a punishment for your resistance."

She stood back, calmly observing Loki's slow-motion agony as he crumpled to the ground.

Kamar-Taj.

The intensity of the moment utterly transformed Strange's expression.

Playing around?

A bunch of seemingly ordinary folks effortlessly manipulating time with mere machines!?

So even if there isn't a single mage capable of activating the Time Gem among them, what's the deal?

It really rubbed Strange the wrong way for a moment!

On Earth, Nick Fury, stationed in the Trident Building, was utterly bewildered.

Let alone the other Marvel universes.

Let's just talk about my own—there's Thanos up ahead, and now there's this mysterious and downright chilling time-manipulating crew.

Couldn't tell if the world was just spinning too fast or if he was just lagging behind...

Compared to this, Hydra from before seems downright laughable and amateurish.

DC World.

Even Lucifer, with his time-restarting prowess, couldn't hide his disbelief right now.

Time, huh?

Besides the Speed Force and his old man, he'd never seen anything wield control over time.

And angels' time-pausing abilities are God-given and can be revoked at any moment.

But now, these folks have equipment that can control time.

And if he read it right, each of the four soldiers and the black officer had one of those time gadgets, which he found impossible to swallow.

[Loki, as he fell, regained normal time on his body, then was hoisted up by two soldiers and led away.

[The woman, familiar with the procedure, wasted no time giving orders:]

["Mission accomplished.

["Reset the timeline here.

[With that, she picked up the cosmic cube from the ground and departed, leaving another soldier to deploy a golden bomb."

[A few seconds later, purple smoke emerged from the golden bomb, followed by a surge of multicolored energy. "

[A horrifying spectacle unfolded, obliterating everything in its wake.

[It wasn't reduced to ash, but vanished entirely. "

"Impossible!"

"This completely defies the law of energy conservation!"

This scene drove Tony Starrk to the brink of madness, his eyes bloodshot!

This grenade was as shocking to him as the first time he discovered that the DC Mother Box could amplify powers. The sheer force of something that defied the laws of physics was overwhelming for a renowned physicist like him!

Simultaneously, countless viewers around the world were stunned by the grenade's impact. A time grenade! It was as if reality itself was being erased from its very origin, and the mere sight of it sent chills down anyone's spine.

Even people outside the Marvel universe were in awe of the TVA.

In Kamar-Taj, the Ancient One felt an unsettling wave of emotions, her usually calm demeanor replaced with restlessness. What she had witnessed in the past few minutes indicated that this organization had powers far beyond any comprehension she has of time!

If the organization was just, lawful, and operated for the greater good, there would be no reason for concern.

However, if it wasn't,

It could spell disaster on a cosmic scale.
