"50. Hooohh that should do it for now."

A tall young man with an average appearance stood at the center of his room while breathing deeply with a nearly broken wooden sticks 1 meter in length in each hands. His body clad in only shorts revealed his lean body with well defined muscles at the right places starting from his feet all the way to his neck.

Right in front of him is a training dummy made of wood and covered in a thick metal plate that he uses during training. It has many dents all over the place, especially the places that is considered weak in a human body like the head and the sides of the body, a testament to how much it has endured the young man's training.

His name is Vann and he just completed his usual exercise routine for Saturdays which consists of training his punches, kicks, and also his sword skills for an hour straight. Of course he doesn't have a real sword so he instead makes up for it with a wooden stick with the same length as a short sword.

After taking a moment to take deep breaths, he threw the broken wooden sticks in the trash. He then moved on to do some stretching and finished his cool down by walking around in his room for ten minutes before going to the bathroom to wash up and wear new clothes.

Then he ate a simple breakfast to regain his spent energy from the workout earlier. After finishing his meal, he cleaned the plates and sat down in the couch right in front of the TV.

"Hmmm... there's still some time before the delivery arrives. I should be able to clean up before then." Vann said after looking at the time on his phone which is currently near 8:30 am.

Vann then proceeded to clean his entire apartment which didn't take too much time considering that he doesn't make too much mess and his apartment ain't that big.

His apartment, although simple and a bit small, was more than enough for a lone man like him to live in. It has a nice small kitchen, a big area that serves as a bedroom and living area combined and a small bathroom. There were only a few things in the apartment apart from the furnitures and things that he uses during his exercises which is located in the living area which makes his apartment look and feel tidy and organized.

Overall, it's a great apartment that Vann really liked ever since he rented it out. Another bonus side is that it was situated near his workplace and has a clean and quiet surroundings. So even though it wasn't cheap, Vamn still decided to rent it which he is more than capable of with his current job. That and the renting fee isn't too overly expensive.

Vann spent more than an hour tidying the whole place up and doing some more chores like washing his clothes.

"Haah... finally done." With all of that done, Vann sighed as he layed on his couch to rest.

Looking at his phone, he murmured. "The delivery isn't here yet so might as well watch something."

He turned on the TV and browsed all the channels, looking for a show to watch only to end up bored. In the end, he connected his phone to the TV and watched in Itube instead.

In just a few minutes, Vann is so engrossed to watching the TV that he momentarily forgot about the delivery. It just suddenly came back to him when his doorbell ringed, taking his focus away from the TV.

Ding!

"I hope it's the delivery." Vann said as he can't help but feel a little bit of anticipation as he walked towards his door.

Looking at the doorcam, he saw a young guy about his age wearing a delivery outfit with a box in his hands.

Seeing that, Vann smiled as he opened the door.

"Goodmorning sir. May I ask if you are Vann Roster?" The guy asked politely the moment Vann showed himself.

"Yes that's me. Is that the helmet that I ordered?" Vann nodded and asked back.

"Yes sir. Since you have already paid for it online, you just need to sign here to confirm that you have received your order." The guy replied and handed the box to Vann's hand and pulled out a paper where he also gave it to Vann along with a ballpen.

"Sure." Vann took the box and set it aside in the small table besides the door before signing in the paper and giving it back to the guy. As he handed it, Vann saw a hint of envy in the guy's eyes.

"Thank you for your purchase." The delivery guy said as he prepared to turn around.

"Uhm wait just a second." Vann called out to guy before he can leave.

The guy stopped and was about to ask when he saw Vann enter his door. Seeing that, he felt both anxious because he thought that there might be a problem while at the same time a bit hopeful that maybe he will be given a tip.

Thankfully, Vann returned in less than a minute with some cash in hand.

"Here's some tip. Thanks for the delivery." Vann smiled as he gave it to the guy.

The delivery guy received it with a wide smile. "Thanks for the tip. I hope you have a good day sir."

Vann nodded with a smile as he goes back to his room while the delivery left smiling, both feeling satisfied.

After Vann closes the doors, he took the box with him and set it down in the small table in front of the couch. He picked up a scissor and opened the box carefully before taking out its content.

Inside the box was a metal helmet with a futuristic design with the two color of black and blue. It looked super cool and it reminded him of helmets that is usually shown in movies or animes that is related to sci-fi but in those shows there would usually be a suit paired with the helmets as well.

As he thought of this, Vann can't help but chuckle as the current world can already be considered as a scifi world if it was made as a novel since its currently the 22nd century where technology is leaps and bounds above the standard from the 21st century.

The helmet that Vann ordered is the device used to play the most popular VR game even though its not playable yet which is called Battle for Supremacy or BFS for short. Though irrelevant, one can choose to buy a custom made helmet for their use with different designs that they can choose with the price of being just a bit more expensive. But for Vann, he didn't really need that added feauture so he just went with the default helmet.

After checking it out, Vann read the whole instructions just to be safe.

Vann glanced at his phone for a second and noticed that the time is currently 11 am.

"I can't wait till the evening. I hope you are really good as they say." Vann said as he anticipated the moment that he gets to play the game.

The game is set to open its servers today at 10 pm which is quite a long time for Vann who is too excited to try the game. So it left Vann questioning himself.

"What should I do in the meantime though?"
