Origin Mark(IV): Rewards

Orion was calm beyond words as he faced the being in front of him.

With a muscular body covered in red scales, short crimson hair and dark eyes, this dragon's aura was the epitome of tyranny and pride.

"Greetings, I am Markos Drakankos, promised of the Draknia and Lord of the World Devouring draconic royal line." He proudly announced.

Not caring about the lizard's antics, Orion took a single step forward.

[Wrath.]

What should've been a tiny bit of annoyance due to Orion ignoring him turned into a crazed fit of rage and madness as he immediately deployed his wings and shot at Orion.

[Sloth.]

The world seemed to slow to a snail's crawl as Markos felt his entire existence drown in an endless ocean of sin and regret.

[Gluttony.]

Markos, who had started crawling on the ground, found his power rapidly escaping his grasp as he stood helpless.

Taking a few more steps, Orion reached him and simply beheaded him.

Simple and plain.

Facing the beast's corpse Orion's hands waved through the air as he rewrote reality.

[A/N:He can only rewrite reality because this isn't the real world.]

With his senses, how could he not tell it still had multiple trump cards?

'I don't have the energy for this.'

His dream runes sank into the world a massive pillar of obsidian lightning descended onto Markos' body, completely turning him to ashes.

The fact that his body still existed in ashes was a testament to how powerful his body was.

In front of Orion, a tiny rune materialised as it immediately fused with the rune that had branded itself into his mind.

His pupils couldn't help but widen a droves of information flooded his mind.

From their round table, the various leaders were amazed beyond belief.

Though the patriarch of the Reizon Heavenly clan was enraged by his son's carelessness and lack of training, the others were positively surprised.

"Your kid's spear control is impressive to say the least. He's solidly implanted into the adept realm, infinitely close to the master realm. This is absolutely unheard of for a two year old." Said Hadano Wuchi, Patriarch of the Wuchi clan and a Celestial Martial Master.

Eros and Hera could only proudly smile as they saw how much Orion's hard work had paid off.

Though they never mentioned it, they'd been impressed by how constantly and intensely he trained.

Reappearing onto the floating platform, Orion bore a pensive expression.

He had just about learnt innate grades, talent grades and their relation to how much one could excavate per realm.

'According to them, currently I'm at the Chaos innate grade while my overall talents are at the peak of the cosmic grade..' He thought.

'Too low, way too low.' He thought in annoyance as a plan formed in his mind.

How could he ever accept to have the second best? If he didn't have God grade talents was there a point in even cultivating? The fact that his innate grade was so low despite the amount of hours he put in, irritated beyond belief as well.

Truthfully, if any experienced cultivator could read his thoughts, they'd be infuriated.

Currently, despite the knowledge he had, Orion didn't truly understand what it meant to have Cosmic grade talent at the Chaos innate grade.

The higher the talent the harder it was to raise one's innate grade.

Since his talent was thoroughly sealed, he could barely feel the effect of his own talents but in time, he'd know.

"Hey! You finished early! How was your trial?" Asked Sarah as she appeared on Orion's platform, followed by Zanthar.

Though he noticed the dried blood on Zanthar's robes, Orion ignored it.

"Tss, I was careless and I let myself be beat up a little. After that, nothing much happened. Just some lizards. What about you?" He asked.

"Boring! So boring! I was faced with an army of phoenixes but sadly their flames had no effect on me so I just quickly killed them. A lady appeared after that but she was even weaker! She couldn't even make a single swing without leaving herself open to million kf attacks!" She exclaimed in frustration.

Hearing this, Orion could only smile. She was too much of a genius. Phoenixes were one of the most skilled and precise blade wielders within the heavens, for her to call them unskillful was…new.

Shifting his gaze, he looked at his brooding cousin.

"Hm? It can't have been that bad right?" He asked in confusion.

"The humanoid version of the beast I fought was tricky and I was forced to use one of my unmastered abilities. I almost died. My father's gonna kill me…" He said with a heavy sigh.

"You're alive and you passed, why would he be mad at that?"

"I haven't been training as much lately and he didn't mind since I've always been unmatched but now… he's gonna put me through his hellish training again…"

As he spoke those words, he involuntarily shuddered.

Pitying his cousin, Orion could only stand on his toes as he patted his back with a gaze full of empathy.

"Yo!"

"Hey!"

Two figures appeared on Orion's platform.

On the left was a poised young boy with pale golden hair and piercing blue eyes that seemed to contain an infinite amount of elements and phenomenons. His aura was gentle and appeasing yet the power he exuded far outmatched Zanthar, not in quantity but in quality.

This was Leywos Elementus, Heir of the Elementus Heavenly Clan.

On the left was a young girl with short hazelnut hair and green eyes full of vitality. Her aura was just as powerful and refined as Leywos' but unlike the former, it contained an unbridled and unending lust for battle and war.

This was Cyndria Warlia, Heiress of the Warlia Heavenly Clan.

"I'm Leywos and this is Cyndria. We saw you guys talking to so we joined, I hope you don't mind."

"Of course not, I'm Orion, nice to meet you! This is Zanthar, my cousin and Sarah, a friend of mine. This is the first time you meet each other, right?"

"Yeah, it's the first time the Heirs have all met, nice to meet you indeed." Said Cyndria as her gaze ferociously met Sarah's, their battle intent soaring through the roof.

Not minding the competitiveness of the two, Orion spoke.

"Should we call the others? It'd be nice to get to know each other."

"Nah, don't mind them. I tried talking to them but they're on the shyer side. We have all the time in the world to get to know them." Calmly answered Leywos.

"Anyways, how'd your trial go? I heard you say you…"

Floating off the platform, the five happily joked and discussed as the atmosphere lightened.
