BABY SHOPPING

' I have everything planned out. You know I have already received my acceptance letter to the College in Chicago. So I'll take Arian with me to the university. You already got me a house near the college so we'll live there. In two months I will be 18, then I will get my driver's license and we won't have to take public transport. After my first year, I will tell mom and dad about Arian and keep my life going. One more important thing: NOBODY, I mean NOBODY should find out I picked Arian from the dump. I don't want anyone to look down on him. ' I say.

' Whoa! This is the first time you gave a speech that actually made sense. Okay I agree. ' Riona says.

' Since you are so stubborn. I agree too ' Ashley says.

' Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay! Time for baby shopping. We'll get clothes for me. Cute clothes for Arian, matching clothes for Arian and I, did I mention cute clothes for Arian? ' I exclaimed.

' Get ready you guys. I will wait here for you'. Riona says.

I looked around for what to wear Arian. My brain was spinning and then.. BINGO! I spotted my Giant Teddy Bear. I took out the clothes and tried it on Arian. It was big on him so, I got out my needle and thread and adjusted it till it was perfect.

' Hurry up Arianna ' I heard Riona yell.

' Coming!' I answered. I put on the clothes on Arian and hurriedly changed mine.

In a few moments, we were seated in the car.

' So where are we going?' Ash asked me.

' To a mall at the other end of town. ' I reply. ' But why? ' Riona ask.

' Cuz noone knows us there ' I replied. I looked down at Arian and my heart melted like icecream in an oven. He was very peaceful, he looked up at me with those big blue eyes. I kissed his forehead. I may have made a lot of decision in this life but this.. this is the best one.

I didn't know when we arrived at the mall but when I got there, I completely let go. I spent like crazy. I bought lots and lots of matching clothes for Arian and I. Then I moved on to shop for cots. They were lots of jaw dropping choices, I was examining them when I came across this sea blue cot that reminded me of Arian's blue eyes and my Senior Ken's. And Arian seemed to like my choice because he reached out to touch it.

We finished our shopping soon and I was elated at how many lovely things we bought. We stopped for a quick snack before we went to the hospital and my heart broke when I saw the nurse giving Arian and Injection. He didn't cry but I did and Ash had to take me outside till they finished with Arian.

We sat in the lobby awaiting the results of the test results.

The Doctor arrived with the results.

' Your baby is 91 days old. Meaning, he was born on the 30th May. He is O negative. We have given him immunization,he is healthy generally so you don't need to worry. We have also granted your application for birth certificate. You will be given at the counter. ' The doctor says.

I left the hospital holding Arian in my arms feeling fulfilled. He is officially my child.

When we got home, we all went to the kitchen to prepare lunch. I placed Arian in the new stroller I got him and we decided to bake a cake.

' Arianna doesn't your college resume next week?' Riona says.

' Yes it does. ' I reply.

' So when do you plan to go to Chicago.' Ash asks me. ' On Saturday. So I can have time to clean up and prepare. ' I reply.

' I will help you book your flight. I still don't get why you had to choose a school so far from home. ' Ash says.

I rolled my eyes. Here we go again.

' Isn't it because of her " Senior Ken" ' Riona says imitating me.

Don't judge me!! Love is a powerful force.

' I'm starting to think that's the reason she's doing a double major is related to him. I mean Ari's passion is Fashion Designing. Since when did she become interested in event planning. ' Ash says.

' You guys know I'm right here ' I say.

' Tell me Ari, why did you decide to do a double major? ' Ash says.
