CHAPTER 14
IRRESISTIBLY UGLY BEAUTY
The wicked flee when no man pursueth: but the righteous are bold as a lion.
Proverbs 28:1
Since then, Elise's happy life turns into grey. Everyone is alarmed by the cursed-faced girl whenever she's around. Her own family faked tender concern for her but almost wanted her far, all the times her life. Everybody is cautious about her. She was a girl no one ever can love.
"She was a kind of no-face monster. Do not ever wrong your life by looking to our master's daughter." She heard the murmurs of baker's servants as they warned children about her. 'She was nothing but a baker's monster daughter to everyone.'
Her three married brothers were distant from her because of their wives' strong precautions against their son's death. Her two single brothers mingled with her sometimes being careful not to hurt her. She was alone all time with her music and paints. In her heart, she wished a thousand times the curse will be cast off from her. Her tears keep falling through her face.
The song keeps playing. Why does it never stop?
I want to spend
My lifetime cherish you
If it takes suffering
For lifetime
I'm willing to,
If that is all
In life I never do
It is more than wealth
This world can offer
If I can spend
I want to spend
My lifetime cherish you
If it takes suffering
For lifetime
I'm willing to,
(Oooh... Oh, I love you....)
