“Boss, he’s here!”
Someone called Jack over the radio.
“Very well! He could not loose a minute of his girlfriend’s life!”
“How lovely!”
“Let him in!”
Nick was escorted into his own house by two other armed men whom he knew were Jack’s other ‘boys’!
He was led past the sitting room into the bedroom.
There he entered, not knowing what he would find.
He saw Caroline, gagged and bound.
Next to her sat Jack.
Jack slowly stood and walked up to Nick.
Jack stepped forward and came to where Nick stood. They stood so close that their foreheads and noses almost touched. Nick was shivering a great deal but he was determined not to cower so much under Jack. So he kept his shoulders high.
"You needed me, not her, am here now. Please let her go and we will talk things over!" Nick said to Jack while they stood up to one another. He spoke between gritted teeth to show how serious the matter at hand was.
