Foreigner from an Unknown Land
TIMELINE - 2 months after Zephyrus ceremony to be Vainglory
It was Zephyrus day off from her work as an executive of Arm and she is currently in a city famous for its delicacies. Walking along the crowd of people she was suddenly struck in nostalgia.
Zephyrus remembered when as a child her and Zelda would move along the fairy market and she would bug her to buy her favorite foods. She shook her thoughts, she can't afford being stuck in the past.
( FAST FORWARD I HAVE NO BRAIN JUICE )
Zephyrus was at the lake when she was approached by a stranger. "What's someone pretty like you doing in these woods?" A voice rang out.
Zephyrus turned around "Not much just wanted some quiet" "Is that so? The name's Chloe"
The stranger introduced herself.
"Giving out your name so fast? How do you even know if I can be trusted" Zephyrus questioned. "Don't be such a worrywart miss besides a pretty girl like you can never harm me"
"You underestimate me?" Zephyrus was slowly getting angry at the person that decided to sit right next to her. "No - I can see that you had your fair share of killing. But I can see you have a good heart" Chloe replied.
"A good heart" Zephyrus scoffed. "Yeah lady if not you would have killed me - don't think I didn't know that you know that I am stalking you" Chloe explained.
"Well I was thinking that since the person won't even attempt to show themselves they would probably leave sooner and later after they find what they are searching for"
"But I could have killed you but you lowered your guard" Chloe insisted
"oh just shut up your being annoying" Zephyrus ended the conversation
The two spent the evening in silence for a few minutes when-
"So fairy huh?" Chloe asked. Zephyrus looked at her in alarm wondering how she knew it was impossible for she didn't possess her wings at all. "How?-"
"I'm just perceptive and your necklace was clearly given to fairies when they became of age"
"Huh" Zephyrus never thought that there would be someone that could recognize the pendant she had.
"Did I make you uncomfortable?" Chloe asked "If so then let me make you " Chloe said before she forwarded her hand and set it just in front of Zephyrus vision. Zephyrus watched her do this with a clueless face.
Chloe's hand suddenly formed small fireworks and all Zephyrus could think of seeing was that it reminded her of the lantern rite that fairies would do every harvest season.
"It's supposed to be the harvest festival for fairies today isn't it? This isn't much but I hope you can forgive me with this small performance of mine" Chloe said
Zephyrus could only stare at the fireworks, still stuck remembering the happy moments when tears sprung out her eyes. Chloe seeing this quickly got nervous "OH SHIT - UHH I'M SORRY I DIDN'T MEAN TO MAKE U CRY ARE YOU OKAY"
Hearing this Zephyrus only began to sob harder. "WAHHHHHHHHHHH" Chloe, still shocked in this turn of events, can only rub Zephyrus back as though she is trying to coax a child.
Zephyrus suddenly started to calm down and when she thought of her actions earlier she got embarrassed. "I'm sorry that I cried suddenly - i just remembered my sister"
Chloe looked at Zephyrus and smiled rather solemnly "It's fine and I'm sorry for bringing unwanted memories" "It's not"
"Huh what?" Chloe asked Zephyrus to elaborate.
"It's not an unwanted memory. It's a happy memory and thank you for reminding me of it" Zephyrus whispered.
"So wanna go on a date" "Sure"
