Venice

"Mommy, wait, please! What about daddy?" Little Venice said, confused and unable to do anything as her mom pulled her away from Victor.

Helena, walking slowly, fixed a stern gaze on Venice to make her uneasy.

"You know, you're such a useless child! You can't even soften your daddy's heart! Are you really his child?" Helena said, while poking her finger at Venice's face, which brought tears to the poor child's eyes.

"B-but mommy... hicc.. why did you throw away the food we prepared for him?" Venice asked with a whimper, her voice trembling in fear of her mother.

"Hah! You're really asking me that?" Helena's voice dripped with irritation as she scolded Venice, her frustration evident.

"Why don't you ask your daddy why he can't even be bothered to visit us at home? Our nosy neighbors are starting to wonder if he even considers us as a family!" She continued, her tone laced with exasperation.
