"Huy, what's going on in your mind?" Denise inquired, her tone prompting me to refocus.

I jolted back to attention, noticing the collective gaze directed my way.

"I thought Venedict was the one who got into a fight. Why do you appear so worn out?" Jeffrey questioned, his words punctuated by the rhythmic sounds of him chewing his food.

"Wow, this food is really delicious! Did you really cook this, Denise? Well, you can already get married!" Jeffrey exclaimed after tasting Denise's dish.

"I can't get married yet because the one I'll marry still isn't ready," Denise subtly hinted at Jeffrey. I knew he had been her crush for a long time, but she never dared to confess her feelings to my scumbag brother.

"That guy must be blind and an idiot!" Jeffrey remarked.
