"You already know, Rina," Victor said sharply, his voice cold and dismissive. "I won't love you, no matter what you do or how many times you beg. You knew from the start that Helena was the one I loved!"

Victor went on, his voice harsh, "The only reason I married you is because it was my grandmother's wish. I'll provide you with money, but please don’t bother me or Helena anymore."

Tears streamed down my face as I struggled with the pain and despair. My dreams of rekindling our love were shattered before my eyes.

I had planned to surprise him with the news of my pregnancy, but now it seemed he didn't care. My hopes for our unborn child felt pointless in a world where its father had already rejected it.

Daniel and his men couldn't believe what they were seeing; it was the complete opposite of what they had expected. When they arrived at the location their subordinates had reported, they were unprepared for the reality before them.

The rats they thought they would be chasing turned out to be the exact opposite of what was happening. Instead, they ended up like rats, cornered by the Reymundo troops who were now mercilessly attacking them.

Daniel quickly managed to hide with some of his men.

"Hey, why didn't you tell me what was happening right away?! You're all a bunch of idiots!" Daniel yelled at one of his men.

He was furious that his irresponsible men were being wiped out right in front of him.

"W-we tried to inform you about t-this... but they said you weren't to be d-disturbed..." the man stammered, pointing towards Daniel's higher-ranking subordinates who were always with him.
