Chapter 41 "Subject Zero"

Within the cold, dim confines of the containment chamber, shadows clung to the damp walls, reluctant to reveal the secrets concealed within. The air hung heavy with an eerie stillness, broken only by the occasional hum of unseen machinery and the distant echoes of dripping water. Dim, flickering lights cast feeble beams, their glow offering mere glimpses of the metallic surfaces that surrounded the room.

The walls, constructed of unyielding steel, bore the scars of countless experiments — strange symbols etched into the surface, remnants of scientific pursuits gone awry. Chains dangled from the ceiling, metallic links clinking softly in the silent, oppressive atmosphere. The cold floor, marred by stains that hinted at the room's dark history, seemed to absorb what little warmth remained.
