Chapter 5: Tang Hao's Existential Doubt!

"Use your calf to apply force and connect the strength of your entire body," Tang Hao said as he handed the forging hammer to Tang San. "Give it a try."

"Alright," Tang San replied.

Tang San gripped the hammer handle firmly with both hands, his body moving with precision, guided by Xuan Tiangong.

In his previous life, he excelled at crafting intricate devices, but he had never dabbled in the art of forging. Mastering this fundamental skill would enable him to create precision tools on his own.

Upon leaving, this newfound skill with the hidden weapon would undoubtedly offer him an extra layer of security.

"Begin!" Tang Hao declared.

A resounding impact echoed through the air. Although there remained a significant gap between his technique and Tang Hao's, Tang San could feel that his skills were rapidly taking shape. Following his father's guidance, he now wielded a force that was ten times more potent than before.

Tang Hao stood silently, though the surprise in his eyes was evident. He hadn't anticipated Tang San mastering this skill so quickly.

He believed that Tang San's solid foundation in Tang Men's martial arts had played a vital role. His comprehension of these arts far exceeded that of his peers, which naturally expedited his progress.

"Xiaofeng, it's your turn," Tang Hao called out after Tang San had made several attempts.

"Brother Feng, it's your go," Tang San courteously passed the hammer to Qin Feng.

However, there was a subtle hint of determination in Tang San's gaze as he looked at Qin Feng.

Yesterday, he had witnessed Qin Feng effortlessly lift the forging hammer and strike it 1000 times. This sight had left a deep impression on Tang San.

In any case, as a fellow traveler who had mastered the secrets of Tangmen, it was hard for Tang San to swallow being outperformed by a six-year-old native child.

However, he was quick to realize that this mastery could be achieved swiftly through the application of Mysterius Heaven Techniques and other Tang Men exercises. He was eager to witness how long it would take Qin Feng to acquire these skills.

"Alright, I'll give it a try," Qin Feng replied, surprised that Tang Hao was willing to teach him.

As someone who had read four Douluo novels and immersed himself in manga and anime, Qin Feng believed he had a slight edge over Tang San in terms of insight.

He focused his mind, striving to unite his entire body as one.

CLANG!

The deafening noise reverberated through the blacksmith shop, causing it to shake as if an earthquake had struck. The piece of cast iron was shattered as if it were made of thin paper.

The sheer force behind this blow left Qin Feng astounded. He hadn't expected such a dramatic result when he followed Tang Hao's cloak hammer technique. His strength had instantly multiplied by more than twenty times, and he had a vague sense that not only had his iron hammer transformed, but his own body had also been enhanced.

"Cough, Xiaofeng, that's enough," Tang Hao's voice suddenly interrupted as Qin Feng prepared for another strike.

"What's the matter, Uncle Tang?" Qin Feng inquired, puzzled.

Little did he know that Tang Hao was currently questioning the choices he had made in life. How many times had he asked himself, "What kind of freak is this?"

Initially, he had intended for Qin Feng to attempt a couple of strikes with the forging hammer before revealing the Yitian Gang hammers to demonstrate the chaotic cloak hammer technique. However, he hadn't anticipated Qin Feng's incredible strength. The first strike had shaken his entire blacksmith shop, and he couldn't help but wonder if it would even stand if a second strike were attempted. It felt like a nightmare!

As for allowing Qin Feng to use the Tiangang hammer for casting the chaotic cloak hammer technique, that was entirely out of the question. Tang Hao was genuinely concerned that Qin Feng might struggle to control the hammer, potentially wreaking havoc on the Holy Soul Village.

This wasn't a laughing matter. The Haotian Hammer was renowned as the "King of Hammers" at 18,000 kilograms, and the Liangyi Tian Gang Hammer was the "Emperor of Hammers." Casting the chaotic cloak hammer technique with it was a perilous endeavor.

"Let's clean up together. Old Jack should be here soon," Tang Hao said, feigning indifference.

"Alright, Dad."

"Okay, Uncle Tang."

Upon hearing this, Tang San and Qin Feng both returned to the back room.

They had already packed up the night before, so there wasn't much to do. They quickly emerged from the room.

"Xiao San from now on, when you two are out, you should support each other and remember not to resort to violence unless it's absolutely necessary," Tang Hao said solemnly, looking at Tang San.

"Dad, I will," Tang San replied, his determination clear. He understood that his father was concerned about his well-being. If he appeared weak and easily bullied when he was out, having Qin Feng by his side would deter potential troublemakers.

While Qin Feng was undoubtedly an exceptional talent for his age, he was not the same age as Tang San. Tang San was a Tang Men genius. Qin Feng had defeated him before, but he didn't knew Tang San was skilled with hidden weapons.

"Xiaofeng, what do you think about what I said?" Tang Hao squatted down in front of Qin Feng and asked.

"We'll watch each other's backs in the future," Qin Feng nodded and smiled.

Qin Feng had always liked Tang San appreciating his character. He had no qualms about considering Tang San as his brother. After all, Tang San was renowned as one of the most outstanding individuals in the Douluo Continent, and that wasn't without reason. From this day forward, Qin Feng became Tang San's elder brother.

With this realization, Qin Feng felt a surge of excitement. He had spent nearly seven years waiting for an opportunity like this.

"Remember this as well, don't reveal the Tiangang hammer unless your life is in danger," Tang Hao said, his once cloudy eyes now shining brightly.

"I will," Qin Feng replied softly, nodding in agreement.

"I'm feeling a bit sleepy. You two wait for old Jack," Tang Hao yawned and stretched. He appeared entirely different from the stern fatherly figure a moment ago.

"Dad, can I use this pig iron?" Tang San asked, pointing to the piece of pig iron he had just hammered.

With this piece of iron, he thought he might be able to craft a simple hidden weapon for self-defense before Grandpa Jack arrived.

"Sure, just don't disturb me," Tang Hao waved his hand dismissively and lay down on the bed. He was asleep in no time.

"Brother Feng, I'm going to craft something useful for you," Tang San said as he noticed his father enter the room.

Qin Feng understood that Tang San was preparing to create a hidden weapon. After all, the Tang Sect in his previous life was known as the Hidden Weapon Sect. He didn't have much knowledge about this, so he quietly observed.

Little did he know that Tang San presence had finally put Qin Feng at ease. If a former assassin like Tang San couldn't offer assistance, Qin Feng would have truly questioned his existence as a traveler. He was relieved that he didn't have to rely on a six-year-old child. The dignity of being a traveler could have been shattered if that had been the case.

Time passed swiftly, and soon the early morning sun began its ascent into the sky.
