Chapter 42

Tang San's mouth twitched as he listened to Qin Feng's words.

"These scammers were really unlucky to cross paths with Brother Feng. Forget lifting a hundred pounds; with his current strength, he could probably lift two or three hundred pounds with one hand. This guy is incredible! But they deserve it for lying like that," Tang San muttered to himself.

He knew well that in their remote city of Notting City, even a single copper coin was worth a quarter of an ordinary person's salary. These scammers were exploiting people's trust and hard-earned money.

Soon, Qin Feng and Tang San arrived at the square downstairs in the teaching building. It was deserted because it was the weekend. Most students were either in their dormitories or playing outside.

"Who's there?" Tang San suddenly interrupted their conversation, feeling a strange sensation in his mind. It was as if someone was watching them.

"What's wrong?" Qin Feng asked, sensing Tang San's unease.

"I think we might have a tail," Tang San replied, a faint purple light glowing in his eyes. Through his Purple Magic Pupil, Qin Feng could see several figures dressed in black following them.

"Oh? Should we go after them?" Qin Feng grinned mischievously, showing no sign of worry.

"Xiaosan, let's head to the backyard," Qin Feng suggested, looking at Tang San with a serious expression.

"Well, let's listen to Brother Feng," Tang San nodded in agreement. Instead of heading towards their dormitory, the two of them veered off and made their way towards the grove behind the school, the same place where they had clashed with the noble children earlier in the day.

"This spot should be good," Qin Feng remarked, surveying their surroundings. The area was spacious and deserted, ideal for their purposes.

"You lot, come out if you're still intent on following us," Tang San called out coldly towards a dark trail behind them. Houshan had no streetlights, relying only on moonlight to illuminate faint pathways.

"Oh hey? We've been spotted?" A surprised voice echoed from behind. Shortly after, five men of various builds—tall, short, fat, and thin—emerged from the shadows. Among them was the familiar face of the former Mazi's fourth son.

"It's really you," Qin Feng remarked, a slight smirk playing on his lips as if he had anticipated their appearance.

"Boy, do you realize you took away everything from us brothers today? If we don't bring you back, how are we supposed to live our life?" Mazi's fourth son said, his voice dripping with coldness.

"Aren't you afraid I might expose you tomorrow?" Qin Feng replied calmly, meeting their angry gazes with composure.

"Expose? If you head back to your dormitory, then yes, we might have to worry about that. But unfortunately, we have no clue what you two little brats have schemed up, bringing us brothers here," Mazi's fourth son retorted, his tone challenging.

Asako sneered. "ill just kill you and leave Notting City tonight. Who's going to find us?"

One of the shorter men snorted. "Brother Three and Four, enough talking. Let's squash these kids."

A burly man charged forward, brandishing a large knife aimed at Qin Feng and Tang San. The two boys swiftly dodged in opposite directions.

"Brother Feng, this spot looks good. Should we show them our soul skills to see who's stronger?" Tang San suggested, a slight grin forming on his lips.

"Oh, ready to unleash soul skills? I might just end up finishing them all," Qin Feng smirked with a mischievous glint in his eyes.

"What an arrogant boy! Do you know who we are? We are—"

"Blue Silver Grass, Bind!" Tang San interrupted, his palm glowing with a faint blue light as strands of blue silver grass swiftly wrapped around one of the men.

"Hundred Years Soul Ring!" Tang San announced as he revealed his century-old soul ring. The men in black were taken aback by this display.

"This kid looks only five or six years old, yet he has a century-old soul ring. His background must be significant!" one of the men muttered.

"But since we've started, there's no turning back now," a chubby man with a ball-shaped physique remarked coldly, revealing two soul rings—a white one and a yellow one.

"Our eldest brother is a Spirit Grandmaster. You two kids dare to play games with us. You've brought this upon yourselves," he sneered.

After witnessing Tang San's soul skills, the men realized they had underestimated the children. However, outnumbering them five to two seemed to tilt the odds heavily in their favor.

"Spirit Grandmaster!"

After seeing the obese man's soul ring, Tang San's expression immediately became serious. Few opponents could match him at his level, except for Brother Feng. Facing a Spirit Grandmaster like this could be troublesome. The disparity between having one soul ring and two was significant. Even as a Soul Master prodigy, he couldn't compare to a Spirit Grandmaster.

"Qiu Bai, level 21, Second Ring Spirit Grandmaster, Martial Spirit Purple Red Rat," the obese man announced proudly, readying himself for battle. A formidable aura surrounded him as a large rat spirit materialized beside him. The creature's eyes glowed scarlet with anger, and purple markings on its fur exuded a menacing aura.

"Damn," Tang San muttered, feeling the weight of the challenge ahead. He had exhausted his javelin during their earlier encounter in the forest. Today, he had intended to forge a new one at the blacksmiths, but Brother Feng's distraction with the five hundred gold coins had disrupted his plans. If he had the Flying God Claw, he was confident he could defeat the obese man effortlessly. Without it, his chances were slim—even using Blue Silver Grass to reinforce himself, his odds of victory were less than 10%.

"Hey, did you all forget about me?" Qin Feng interjected from the other side, feeling a chill as everyone's attention shifted back to Tang San. He sensed the situation turning dire and knew he needed to assert himself.

Feeling like an unwanted guest at a party, Qin Feng realized that if he didn't act soon, Tang San would take the spotlight. He had to make his presence known.

"Boy, do you want to meet your end early?!" The thin, tall man lunged forward, his sword descending towards Qin Feng.

"Bang! Rumble!!" A blur streaked through the dark night, and moments later, a sturdy pine tree crashed down in the distance.

"Eldest Brother ?" It took a moment for the others to react. Eldest Brother had just been sent flying like a sandbag!

"I don't know why, but when I heard someone mention 'meeting your end early,' I couldn't resist sending him flying," Qin Feng casually remarked, lightly tapping his hammer against his palm.

"Damn you!" A heavier man cursed, summoning his martial spirit in an instant.

"Younger Brother , don't act rashly. Let me handle this," the obese man intervened, stopping his impulsive companion. He regarded Qin Feng with solemn eyes. Compared to the boy who had displayed Blue Silver Grass earlier, this hammer-wielding kid seemed more formidable. There was an inexplicable pressure emanating from him.

"Tang San, I've taken care of one, now onto the second," Qin Feng declared, raising his mace towards the man whose martial spirit was the Purple Scarred Red Rat. He hadn't had the chance to smash anything since arriving in this world, and today, he would relish that pleasure.

"Alright! Then these three are mine!" Tang San's eyes glinted with determination. Thick strands of blue and silver grass sprouted from the ground, surging towards the three men.
