I exhaled. Was he really going to put on a brave face? In either case, I had to confront him. My partner wasn't going to fully trust me if I ran away like a coward.

With reluctance, I got up and left the restroom. I opened the door after unlocking it. A box of Ferrero Rocher chocolates and a huge arrangement of red roses were there to greet me.

"Val..." My lips curled into a smile as I inhaled. He gave me the roses and grinned at me. I breathed in their aroma. They had a lovely scent. I also received the chocolate box from him. I gave him an appreciative smile as I glanced at him.

"After all of this turmoil, I knew my Princess would be depressed. I figured these would lift your spirits. I am happy they did.

I smiled at him, my eyes watering. He was quite adept at winning my affection. I arranged the roses on the table and the chocolates on the bed. Even if Valentino's appearance had improved, we still needed to speak.
