Myrah placed her hands on my head and began rubbing my temples. "I'm not sure. They look so in love to everyone who sees them together, but we'll never know what his genuine motivations are. Why is he seeking you if he truly loves her so much?"

"I'm not sure. Perhaps that inherent male tendency to cheat?"

Alright, anything. And why should I care? What is important is that you are safe. That leaves Caylee alone. I tried to warn her, but she ignored me and wouldn't listen."

Just as I was finishing up, my phone rang, cutting our talk short. Myrah got up and picked it up from where I had left it on the coffee table.
