"Auntie, I've been missing you, but Mommy said we'll be staying here in New York for a while, so I should be able to see you pretty regularly. She asked me eagerly, "Will you and Uncle Val let me sleep over with Esmond and Pearl?"

"Of course, but first we'll need to discuss it with Mommy. Is that acceptable?

Cindy gave a nod of approval. That's alright. Mom refuses to say no."

"That's great. Play with your cousins now. Pearl has had her eye on you. I'll soon prepare your favorite delicious milkshake for you."

Cindy was already jumping up and down with excitement to meet her friend, so I put her down and watched her hop off to meet Pearl. Together with all the other children, they were good friends. Cindy was simply kind and courteous. She was very easy to love.
