Unwanted

Avalyn rolls over, her eyes opening as she takes in the dim room around her, the two figures stand talking.

"So we're stuck with her? Is that what you're saying, Marcus?" Jace seems frustrated, and angry over something, Avalyn sits listening, not missing the hate in his voice when he speaks.

"We can sort it; maybe if she knows what a scumbag her husband was, she won't be bothered about us and more about him" Marcus explains, his voice is quiet, yet she can still hear them. Marcus's voice is smooth, sweet almost.

"Na, just kill her. Easiest option and the only way out of this." Jace's voice is menacing, as Avalyn considers ways to escape, the bag no longer on her head, her eyes glancing around quickly trying to figure out a way to escape. She will escape she is happy to try any way out, even if it means jumping from a window and breaking her legs.

"Jace, we don't need to kill her. We will figure it out. Give it a week he may change his mind" Jace looks around Marcus and sees Avalyn is awake. His smile is slowly becoming menacing.

"Yo, dude, don't fucking do it, give it time at least a week." Marcus looks at Jace worried, Jace looks at him and waits.

"Why is he going to pay for that, when he has better? We solve his fucking problem; he is probably sitting there rubbing his hands thinking yes, I got all my money to myself." Jace stalks towards Avalyn. Avalyn staring at him, is he talking about Cain?

"Oh come on, man, seriously. It isn't her fault her fella can't stick to one woman and has no morals." Avalyn looks towards Marcus, realisation hitting her they mean Cain, he was cheating on her. She shakes her head. She had doubted his faithfulness, but she never believed he would do it, she remembers his mum and dad the way they were. She thought it was just work, yes, part of her had doubts but not enough.

"Oh come on, princess, no tears now because that will just piss me right fucking off." She struggles to wipe her eyes as her arms are still bound together and looks at Jace, who is he? Why does he hate her so much or is it purely because he hates Cain and she is just someone to take out that hate on? Marcus seems to be the only thing right now stopping Jace from killing her.

"Look, let me at least explain to the poor lass what has happened" Jace laughs at Marcus.

"Explain? She knows. She was probably in on it, enjoying all that money he stole." Marcus sighs and pushes him out of the way; he looks at Jace and shrugs as he takes off his mask. Jace's face changes to shock as he stares at Marcus without his mask.

"What the fuck Marcus, now she is going to tell him what you look like" Jace hits Marcus around the head.

"Seriously? He knows it is us, who else has he pissed off that would take his wife? No one." Marcus turns to face Avalyn, and she finds herself melting in his caramel-brown eyes, her head shaking, she shouldn't be feeling anything but fear right now.

"Look, your husband took something of ours, something that costs a lot of money. We need it back or the money, do you know where he put it?" Avalyn shakes her head, not understanding what he is talking about. Her husband isn't that sort of person; he has money; he has businesses he doesn't need more.

"Look, she won't know. We already know that. Let's just let her go and get him, we take him and get the money." Marcus looks at her; she finds herself thinking he is sweet, unlike Jace, something about him makes her feel on edge. Marcus though, he has a caring side, like a Dom is caring.

"Not a fucking chance, we need her. He will pay up, no doubt about it; maybe he just needs something to encourage him." Jace steps towards Avalyn, his hand reaching back into his pocket as he pulls out a knife, the blade glimmering under the light.

Screaming, she moves back as Marcus tackles him to the floor, the fight lasting a while as they shout at each other. Avalyn looks around the room. There is only one exit, and they have the key.

"Enough!" Marcus screams and stands up. "Look, we kill her, then what? We get nothing, so let's use her. I don't know how, give it 24 hours, and I will find a way to use her." Jace looks past Marcus to her, Marcus trying to consider a way to save her. There is a way, but it comes at a cost. Right now, that's his only choice though.

"Twenty-four hours, then she's getting sent piece by piece to him." He storms out, the door slamming as he does. Marcus walks towards her, Avalyn moving backwards against the wall trying to hide.

"I won't hurt you." He holds his hands up as he sits next to her. He needs to find a plan, a way to save her. He knows about Avalyn, knows everything as Cain saw her as a prized possession. "Sorry, your husband just fucked us over. Jace is alright honestly; we need to find a use for you, then he will be fine." Marcus shakes his head slightly; it won't be, even finding a way to use her for their gain. Jace will hate her walking. Avalyn looks at him nodding. What use could they have with her if her husband didn't have one?

"Maybe you could drive the car at any robberies; no, Jace won't allow that." Marcus shakes his head as he thinks, turning to face her, she looks at him and smiles, unsure why. Something about him though, while she knows he is bad, dangerous even. He isn't like Jace, and that just draws her into him. She looks at Marcus; maybe he is someone who can tell her about Cain. Perhaps this is her way to find out why he is never home. She watches as he does something on his phone.

"My husband, can you tell me please, everything" Avalyn looks at him, she needs to know who this man is.

"Look, the clubs he owns. For years we have been using him and his clubs as a way to get drugs in. Well, your husband just went and took a full shipment without paying." She nods, the clubs are open twenty-four seven, he works 6 am till 6 pm and has night cover, yet the last few years he hasn't.

"We have been planning this month; we saw him and another woman. A few times we considered taking her, but then we realised he always came home, I assumed he came home because he loved you and she was just fun. Now I wonder how wrong I was." Avalyn shakes her head.

"He wouldn't cheat" Her words are weak as she realises deep down he would, there is no other reason for why he is distant, never wanting to touch her, and why her pictures don't even bring him home these days.
