Pushing Her

Avalyn finds herself struggling to sleep, constantly moving around her room as she comes to the reality that she killed Cain, her head shaking as she cries. She loved Cain, and even in the end she loved him, it was only because he kept pushing her away that she ran and hurt him.

"Avalyn." She turns and looks at Ian confused. "Can't exactly sleep, I can hear you burning a hole into the floor. Come with me." Avalyn shakes her head; she can't do that again. "Look, your mind won't let you sleep tonight Avalyn, not without help. After the funeral go to Marcus and start again, with what you need, for now, that contract is void, and it doesn't give you what you need." His hand reaches out, Avalyn nodding and taking it. She walks out following him through to the other room, his hand releasing hers.
