"Y-you!" With his eyes wide opened, James pointed at him angrily.
"Oh~ that's pain..." B added, making James suffering expression become even worse. "What's the guy named by the way?"
"I think his name is Jason? Jayden? or something? Anyway's he's from Law department." Edward shrugged, answring B's question casually.
"You mean Jaren?"
"Oh that's right, it's Jaren! his name is Jaren."
"Woahh, no way! No wonder G broke up with James for him.."
"Why? Is he good?" Edward asked confusedly. Other than the guy's name, he knew nothing about him at all... Well, to be fair, he didn't care who he was in the first place; he only knew him from James, who kept complaining about how G broke up with him for this Jaren guy.
"Yeah, he's in his 2nd year right now, and he was so popular. Aside from his looks, he also had an outstanding family background and great basketball and academic talents."
"Oh... that's why... no wonder..." Edward nodded his head in understanding, finaly find it reasonable why G broke up with James who's just an ordinary rich kid.
"How long have the two of them been dating by the way?" B askef further.
"Two or three weeks?" Edward calculated for a momment and then answered briefly.
"Damn, is that even considered dating?! That's absolutely crap!" B chuckled as she teasingly winked at James. However, her remark doesn't only affect James.
Both Edward, who started the mess, and Patricia, who was minding her own business, were struck by her remarks.
If two to three weeks aren't considered dating, what do you call those three days?
Well... to be fair, they didn't break up entirely, they're still friends, erm, with some added benefits like occasional late-night wrestling.
Patricia could ask Edward for help whenever she needed to release her pent-up stress, and likewise, Edward was always there to lend her a helping hand.
Their relationship was complicated, but Patricia summed it up with the term 'friends with benefits,' or FWB for short.
It was a dynamic between two friends who engaged in casual intimacy without becoming romantically involved or committing to a serious relationship.
How does it feel to be in such relationship?
Patricia wasn't sure as of her questions weren't answered by the articles she found on the internet about casual sex.
However, to her, it may not be that bad... After all, Edward was a good-looking guy in her opinion—sexy, humorous, and, most importantly, he had a lot of money.
In her opinion, being in such a relationship with him was not her loss... he was so famous, and she bet that there were many fangirls out there who would beg to be in her position.
Overall, she didn't feel like she was at a loss. Quite the opposite, in fact—she even felt lucky and thought she could take advantage of such aspects to gain more.
For example, she could gain his trust and let him give her more tasks to increase her salary.
Patricia smiled wryly as she pushed away her jumbled thoughts and switched her focus to Edward, who changed the topic of conversation, and could not help but wonder.
...
At two o clock in the afternoon.
After bidding farewell to James and the others, Edward and Patricia immediately went back to their own apartment units and began recording shortly after.
The session went until six o'clock in the afternoon, after which they proceeded to their regular bass guitar practice until seven o'clock.
Following that, they strolled calmly to a nearby restaurant, took their regular seat, and placed their orders as usual.
As they ate, Edward could not help but notice Honey's absence, prompting him to inquire about her whereabouts from a nearby waitress.
"Oh, she went on a date... I think?" the waitress replied, her confusion apparent, as if she were unsure of what she was saying.
"Dating someone... already?" Edward was astonished for a moment; it took him a while to process the waitress's answer, and he was at a loss for words.
Didn't the two of them have a date schedule?
Edward could not stop wondering what had happened and what had changed... Doesn't she ask him out on a date? Why was she suddenly dating someone else?
'Am I being... NTR'ed?' he thought for a moment but immediately shook his head, dismissing the idea as it wasn't the case.
Well... technically, it's not NTR because the two of them had nothing to do with each other in the first place.
Aside from some flirting and texting, the two had barely managed to plan a date together, and that was it. They hadn't decided on how their relationship should proceed.
Edward, wearing a wry smile, shook his head, blaming himself for being a hypocrite once again.
Why is he even feeling like he was NTR'ed?
It's not that he really likes her or anything romantically, because from the very beginning, he just wanted her body and her holes.
Also, he can't blame her for dating someone while the two of them were still in their flirty phase.
Although it was undeniably annoying, he had no right to blame her, for he was basically doing the same with Patricia, and although he's hypocritical, he wasn't stubborn enough to deny his own fault.
"Is that so~! Thanks." Shaking his head, although he still felt a deep sense of melancholy, he kept her smile and simply thanked the waitress.
The waitress seemed to detect something was wrong and was taken aback for a moment. She turned her head to Edward, as if she wanted to say something, but in the end, she eventually sighed and went back to do her duties.
"Are you... okay?" Patricia asked hesitantly, observing Edward's expression. She displayed a concerned look on the surface, but inside, she was actually gloating.
Having been with him for a while and having an unusual relationship with him, she was aware of his two timing with her and Honey.
Well... He wasn't hiding anything from her in the first place.. on the contrary, he was openly showinghis actions and interactions, leaving no space for doubt.
He made it clear for her that she was not the only target of his affection, from casual mentions to candid looks at texts—facts that stung her like an unwanted reality.
It would be a lie to say that she was okay with it; no, she wasn't fine with it... she didn't like it, and many times she even had an urge to complain to him... However, every time she was about to do it, she remembered that the two of them were not really in an actual relationship.
They were just friends with benefits, without any romantic commitment to each other, and technically, neither of them should care about each other's relationships, so despite her strong dislike for his actions, she still made a conscious decision to keep her feelings to herself.
Of course, that didn't mean she would just let him do whatever he wanted and think of ways to punish him, like making him unable to touch her.
However, the result was unexpected because it turns out that he relies on his right hand to relieve himself, so in the end, it was her who couldn't help but knock on his door.
Thinking of how she begged him that night, Patricia sighed helplessly.
If only she could find someone else other than him, she would've done it already to make him regret his actions and realize her worth.
However, how could she have time for that if all her time was either invested in him, their studies, or her family?
Well, it's not that she hasn't tried... As a matter of fact, ever since she started to dress up, some guys somehow got her number from their classmates and texted her occasionally, and she did reply to some.
However, every time those guys asked her to meet up, she couldnt help but think of how Edward would react if she really did, so in the end, she declined them.
Thinking of how her mind works, Patricia sighed as she shook her head... She wondered to herself if she was menatally ill; she clearly knew that she could do it if she really wanted, but in the end, she was still thinking of him.
Was she having stockholme syndrome?
'Nah, no way I would've it.' Patricia mused, thinking of how smart she is; how could she be fooled to the point of developing such a mental illness?
"Yeah, I'm fine." Edward's voice sounded, waking her from her thoughts.
Shaking her head, Patricia looked at him, and the gloating that she felt a while ago was replaced by worry.
Although she was happy at the fact that Honey was already dating someone, seeing him pretend to be fine still made her heart break.
"I... I can let you do whatever you want to do in me later...?" Patricia hesitated, but thinking that it would make him happy, she finally proposed it.
"Anything?"
"Y-yeah..."
"You sure?"
"I.. s-sure... as long as it's not very intense... You know that I don't like rough.."
"Sure... I kind of wanted to try something. Have you ever heard of bondage?"
"No, what's that?"
"Hehe, you'll like it, I swear."
