Chapter 7: Just Want to Find One That I Approve

"They think as long as I can bring home a wife and give them grandchildren sooner, they have no other demands," Yigol said.

Hehehe," Suri Drew laughed, amused. "You're trying to fool me, I don't believe it."

"I'm telling the truth, you don't think I'm a rich second generation, do you?"

"I'm really not a rich second generation. Those buildings were bought when I won the lottery during my school days, and then I made various investments, building it up little by little."

"I was young and bold back then, daring to do anything, and I had good luck too."

"I haven't even told my family yet. If I did, wouldn't I get scolded?"

"I mainly worry that they might get frightened," Yigol said casually.

His attitude was so indifferent, as if he was talking about something trivial.

In fact, all of this was given to him by the System; it was all legal and reasonable. He had the memories of the events, and he had already digested them well before talking to Suri Drew, so he could behave calmly.

But it didn't seem that way to Suri.

He was so composed, and in Suri's eyes, it made him look all the more calm and steady, not to mention intelligent and business-savvy.

"Why are you single?" Suri asked. "You have so much money, plenty of girls would be willing."

Yigol replied calmly, "Being pursued is one thing, and being willing to accept is another. Different people have different views on relationships, and it has nothing to do with money."

"Just like you, with your conditions, you could have any man you want, right? But why are you also single?" Yigol looked up at Suri.

"Uh, I, we women, how can we be the same as you men?" Suri turned her face away shyly.

"We don't care about the differences between others, just that we're the same, both wanting to only find someone we approve of." Yigol spoke seriously, not stopping his movements with his hands.

"So, your assets consist of only those eleven buildings..." Suri hesitated.

Yigol smiled and replied, "You don't think those eleven buildings are my entire net worth, do you? What, now that I've told you, you can't bear to take it?"

"Time will let you know me better. Just remember that whenever you're in difficulty, you can turn to your Husband for help."

"As for my net worth... I won't tell you for now. Consider it a small scheme on my part, giving you space to get to know me."

"I need some mystery, otherwise, I'd lose my charm. I don't want to be completely charmingless in front of you."

Surprised and amused, Suri muttered, "That's just making excuses."

Undeniably, this Yigol was too good at this. With his words, Suri genuinely felt his charm increase, and she was filled with curiosity about him.

"You can think of it that way. I'll take it as a privilege of being your husband. Just a warm reminder, each discovery you make about me will be accompanied by a surprise."

"When you talk about me with your friends outside, feel free to say whatever you want. Maybe I can help you fulfill some of those things."

"My only dream right now is to make you the happiest, most content little woman in the whole world," Yigol said gently, smiling.

The System only said not to deceive Suri with lies, but his warm hints should be fine, right?

"Look at what you're saying, you think I'm like you, always boasting?" Suri muttered.

But in her heart, she was sweet as honey, sensing a bit of insincerity in his words.

"I like to show off too, but I only like to show off my wife, because she's the most beautiful wife in the world."

"If a man gives a woman happiness, she'll also like to show off her husband. If she doesn't, that means the man isn't good enough for his wife."

"I'm not being narcissistic, but I am a man worth showing off."

"Good, you can also see how great your husband is. You know, today you said to Quinn Powell that your husband is very rich, and later you found out it was true," Yigol said.

Suri thought about it, and it was indeed true.

She was even more curious about Yigol now.

When she looked at Yigol, he seemed even more pleasing than before.

She reached out to him and said, "Husband, where's your phone? Give it to me."

"What, want to check on me? I'm not worried in the slightest." Yigol spoke while handing his phone to Suri.

"The password is today's date, the day we met, and it will always be this password."

"You're really not worried that I'll find something on it?" Suri asked deliberately.

Yigol was indifferent, "Not worried, there's nothing to worry about."

"Then I won't be polite?"

"Mm."

Actually, Suri's initial goal was to leave her phone number to him, but he managed to pique her curiosity instead.

Suri opened Yigol's photo album, and as soon as she did, she saw many videos with the same cover.

Just as she was about to open one, Yigol stopped her hastily, "You can't watch this."

Seeing Yigol's sly grin, Suri understood immediately. This guy was actually watching those kinds of videos?

However, she could understand a young man's needs, so she didn't open it.

She briefly checked the call log and noticed that there were no saved names, so they were probably calls made during his delivery job. The contact list had only a few people: his parents and a few men's names.

There weren't many friends in his other social media apps, either, and the chat history was equally uninteresting.

After browsing for a while, Suri saved her own phone number into his phone and added herself on WhatsApp. She put a note on her contact with "Baby Wife" and then handed the phone back to Yigol.

She labeled him as "Ugly Monster Husband" in her phone.

Yigol didn't mind this, considering it an affectionate nickname. He was quite confident in his appearance.

"If you're curious, you can also copy all the phone numbers in my phone book. You can carry out secret investigations whenever you have spare time," Yigol suggested.

"Can I?" Suri's curiosity was piqued once again.

"Of course! Just be careful not to expose yourself. If you do, just getting married wouldn't be enough – there'll be even more pressure to hold the wedding ceremony and have kids," Yigol chuckled.

"Well, that's not completely out of the question." Afterward, Suri brazenly copied all of Yigol's contacts. To be fair, she also shared all of her contacts with him.

...

"The System has detected that the host is now alone and will issue a reward."

"Congratulations, you have received divine-level chef skills. Memories of the skill and its various techniques, including those related to sight, hearing, smell, and cooking knowledge, will now be generated."
