I asked a question and silence was the answer I got. On q norm, I wasn't expecting Daddy to go silent, especially when I'm asking a very important question.

I don't know what was responsible for the cutoff, but I had to get the answer. So I launched into more praying in tongues and made sure I was more attentive. 

I didn't check the time, but there was a clock in the room and I remembered I enter there a few minutes to 6. By the time I realise myself it was 8 a.m. in the morning. I had prayed and prayed but there was no answer. It looked as if the heavens were closed and that God only came to tell me what concerned him and Romeo. He only came to vent his anger about what happened between me and Romeo.

I taught he came because I invited him, but he only came for business. Seriously, I was trying to guess where I went wrong. But each time I try to listen to The voice within me I always hear these words.

"OPEN YOUR EYES!"

Even if I ask him who was my man, that would always remain the answer. So what am I opening my eyes to? The answer will always remain the same. I guess God was putting me in a puzzle and he wanted me to solve the puzzle. I have experienced this puzzle things before. It was fun sometimes but most times, I was so desperate for an answer that I would ignore the fun part of it.

I once said that whenever God went silent when you asked the question, it means two things. It will meant you will soon find the answer or the answer was lying right in front of you and he wanted you to solve it.

So if the answer was lying right in front of me was it referring to Segun? Or was it referring to the last person on my mind? No god forbid! It can't be! It has to be someone else. There's no way on earth such pair would happen.

The thought was beginning to find its expression in my heart. The more I was shutting it down the more it was appearing me boldly. And I had this urge in my spirit that I was fighting the Holy Ghost.

"Daddy I have been praying for hours and yet you have not answered my question. Why are you treating me like a stranger?"

"ARE YOU SURE I'M THE ONE TREATING YOU LIKE A STRANGER? OR YOU HAVE CHOSEN TO ACT LIKE A STRANGER? I HAVE BEEN COMMUNICATING WITH YOU AND YOU HAVE BEEN SHUTTING YOUR EARS. MUST I SAY EVERYTHING WITH MY MOUTH?"

"Daddy I don't understand!"

"DON'T WORRY YOU WILL SOON UNDERSTAND. I HAVE MORE IMPORTANT THINGS TO DISCUSS WITH YOU AND I THINK WE ARE DONE WITH THIS SUBJECT. LET'S MOVE TO THE NEXT ONE."

"Daddy don't close this subject yet. This is very important and I need absolute clarity."

"MADAM, LET'S MOVE TO THE NEXT SUBJECT."

"Okay sir! I'm so sorry for my use of words!"

I seriously hated it when he uses the word, 'Madam'. You always uses it whenever I am doing something wrong. So it was a sign for me to mwhen I was doing something that displeased him.

"SO, THE NEXT THING ON YOUR LIST IS, WHAT KIND OF MINISTRY WILL YOUR HUSBAND HAVE?"

"Yes sir!" 

There were others who would make a perfect pair. Bro Timi was also there with his proposal full song If you son of a well-known man of God and the general superintendent of his father's church. He's also anointed but not as anointed as my Segun. But that guy will be a good pair compared to the one that is trying to find its ugly way into my heart.

Johnson on the other hand, a firebrand brother. We met at a meeting where we were invited as ministers. The program had different sessions and different ministers were to minister and each sessions. I ministered at the session before him and by the time he stepped on the podium, it was raw fire.

I was surprised when I received a message from him on WhatsApp. Immediately I saw the picture on his DP, I recognized him. He had to do his introduction and explain how he got my contact. He told me he collected it from the excos. And that's how we started chatting from time to time.

I was already used to receiving proposals, so I knew a proposal was on the way. I just made sure I was being neutral. Sometimes, he complain that I was not very responsive and I told him it's because of tiredness. Sometimes I chatted freely and sometimes I was withdrawn. It was not too long he told me he would love to see me in person. I'm a lady and knew what was coming. So I prepared myself and looked very dashing.

We met in a restaurant and ate a sumptuous meal. It was no surprise when the proposal came and it was a surprise to him when I told him no. He asked me to pray about it and I told him I would. I told him to hang onto my no for now. The guy was completely optimistic, so he was ready to believe I will come back with a good answer.

That guy will make a perfect match.

"HE'S INTO MASTURBATION AND PORNOGRAPHY!" 

Those words hit me like a bomb. 

"Are you trying to say he's not a true minister? What about the fire and anointing I saw that day?"

"THE ANOINTING UPON HIS HEAD IS ALREADY FADING. WHAT YOU SAW THAT VERY DAY WAS A REDUCED MEASURE OF THE ORIGINAL POWER I GAVE HIM.

"Haaaaaaaa! Daddy!"

"WAIT! YOU MEAN YOU DON'T KNOW YOU ARE VERY ANNOYING?" Daddy asked and burst into laughter.

"This is the most heartbreaking thing I've ever told."

"YES BUT YOU SHOULD NOT EXPECT ME TO PAMPER YOU AT THIS STAGE. YOU CAN BE SO ANNOYING. IN FACT, GO AND ASK YOUR MENTOR."

"Haaaaaaaa! Don't go there ooooo! I can be so annoying! I agree with you when it has to do with her," I said laughing.

"EVEN WHEN IT HAS TO DO WITH YOUR MINISTERIAL ASSIGNMENT, YOU ARE STILL ANNOYING."

"Daddy why is it that today of all days you have chosen to call me an annoying person?"

"BECAUSE I WANT YOU TO KNOW THAT YOU ARE NOT A MISTAKE. YOUR ANNOYING PERSONALITY CAN BE A BLESSING AND A WEAPON FOR YOU OR AGAINST YOU. YOU CAN PROVOKE THE WRONG PEOPLE AND YOU CAN PROVOKE THE RIGHT PEOPLE. LIKE WHEN YOU WERE PROVOKING MR, PRINCIPAL, MR BROADWAY AND THE QUEEN. THOSE WITH THE RIGHT PEOPLE THAT NEEDED TO BE PROVOKED.

BUT WHEN YOU WERE PROVOKING YOUR MENTOR, YOUR SISTERS AND DISCIPLES. YOU WERE PROVOKING THE WRONG PEOPLE. SO IF YOU ARE PAIRED WITH THE WRONG PERSON WHO CANNOT TOLERATE AN ANNOYING PERSON? YOU'LL END UP MARRYING AN ATHLETE. 

YOU KNOW THE KIND OF ATHLETE I'M REFERRING TO? THERE ARE DIFFERENT KIND OF ATHLETES. WE HAVE THE ONES THAT ENTERTAIN US ON THE TV AND WE HAVE THE ONES THAT TRAIN IN SECRET.

THERE ARE HUSBANDS WHO ARE TRYING TO TRAIN FOR HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP AND THERE IS NO PUNCHING BAG IN THE HOUSE. THEY ARE IN SERIOUS NEED OF ONE, BUT THEIR WIVES ARE SO LOVING THAT SHE ADVISES HIM NOT TO BUY A PUNCHING BAG. SHE DONATES HER FACE TO BE THE PUNCHING BAG. AND EVER SINCE THEN THE HUSBAND HAS BEEN HAVING DIFFERENT REHEARSALS."

I was laughing so hard.

"Daddy I don't want to be a punching bag ooooo! I don't want to marry a boxer! I want to marry a husband!"

"I'M JUST TELLING YOU THE TYPES THAT ARE IN THE MARKET. IF YOU END UP IN THE HANDS OF A BOXER DON'T CALL MY NAME OOOOOO!"

"You are my daddy na! If someone is punching me and I cannot shout my daddy's name, whose name will I shout?"

"IS YOUR HUSBAND'S NAME YOU WILL SHOUT NA. DO YOU KNOW HOW MANY CHRISTIAN WOMEN ARE RECEIVING PUNCHES FROM THEIR HUSBAND IN THE SECRET? THAT SAME TONGUE SPEAKING BROTHER IN THE CHURCH. AFTER MARRYING HIM, YOU SAW THE TRUE COLOUR. AFTER THE WEDDING, YOU DISCOVERED SO MANY THINGS ABOUT HIM.

THIS IS THE MORE REASON WHY IN CHOOSING A LIFE PARTNER YOU MUST GO TO THE GOD WHO KNOWS THE SECRETS OF MEN. YOU MUST TRUST HIM AND RELY ON WHATEVER HE REVEALS TO YOU.

I laughed so hard that I threw myself on the ground.

"OF COURSE! MARRIAGE IS THE ONLY PLACE WHERE THE FRUITS OF THE SPIRIT IN YOU ARE PUT TO THE TEST. IF YOU DO NOT TAKE YOUR TIME TO DEVELOP THEM DURING SINGLEHOOD, YOU WILL END UP ACTING FOR A LONG TIME BEFORE YOU BLOW UP. YOU WOULD END UP PRETENDING UNTIL YOU ARE AT YOUR WIT'S END.

SO EVERY PERSON WHO WANTS TO GET A GODLY MAN, MUST BE READY TO START BUILDING THEMSELVES ALSO. YOU ONLY ATTRACT WHAT YOU LOOK LIKE.

SO WOULD YOU LOVE TO HAVE AN ATHLETE FOR YOUR HUSBAND?"

"No ooooo! I'll settle for whatever you give to me!"

"ALRIGHT! LET'S GO TO THE NEXT THING ON THE LIST."

"But daddy!"

"WHAT?"

"I'm sorry! Can you please give me the name? Mummy told me I must know his name."

"BUT YOU ALREADY KNOW HIS NAME."

"Daddy please! For the sake of clarity, please tell me his name."

"ROBERT OLADIMEJI THOMPSON."

I felt like the ground should swallow me. I never knew that Romeo's middle name was Oladimeji. This was the first time I was hearing it. 

"Daddy! That guy is not spiritually sound."

"I DIDN'T SAY HE'S NOT, I ONLY SIAD HE'S YOUR HUSBAND. YOU ARE THE MENTOR, SO DO WELL IN BUILDING HIM INTO WHAT HE OUGHT TO BE."

"But daddy, that guy is below me!"

"WHO ARE YOU?"

That was when it dawned on me that I was a proud woman.

We have Athletic husbands ooooo. Husband that are training for the match at boxing ring. There's no money to buy punching bag. But don't worry honey! You can punch my face and use it for rehearsals.
