Dinner & Disbelief

With a long platter of pork ribs and a small keg of beer on the table, Rizz couldn't be happier.

He indulged in the tender, smoky ribs with not a single coin missing from his earnings. And Sabina gratefully tagged along for the free platter and room, much in part due to her severe lack of travel funds.

Kerl asked to sit with them but was roped into the hospitable meal as well. Lobur's mother insisted, bringing them a fresh platter of ribs and a pitcher of water.

"Rizz…" Kerl mumbled, unable to bite into the first rib before getting something off his chest.

"At first I was worried about you. But now, I'm not sure what to feel. What happened after you left the settlement?"

The goblin replied between monstrous bites.

"… Farmed EXP… Found an apprentice… Nothing much."

C-cough, cough.

"An apprentice?" Kerl grumbled, half-choking on his first bite of food. "W-what do you mean by that?"
