Decision of Impulse & Desire

An invisible wave of solitude crashed through the quiet room.

The molekin chief felt his son stepping away all of a sudden. Something he'd never suspected from the devout Aakur, who forever sought a growing future for the mine and the tribe in general.

Aakur felt isolated, in spite of standing hardly two meters away from his father… Stranded between a foundational ideal of his own, and what his tribe and family considered common sense.

In that moment of mental and emotional seclusion, Aakur couldn't look his father in the eye. When he tried, it only hurt Aakur more. It stung… knowing that everyone else, including his father, had given up.

Yet, while Aakur couldn't allow himself to meet his father's concerned gaze, Aakur managed to glance at the still-snickering goblin.

No words were shared between them. Rizz only looked back at Aakur from the corners of his eyes.
